On August 8, 2023, wildfires destroyed Lahaina town on the island of Maui. Residents abandoned their vehicles and fled to the ocean off the shores of Front Street, a prime visitor destination. The fires left the historic town in ashes and brought many struggles for its residents. Learn more here.

Lahaina Courthouse Reflections was created as a commemorative piece, painted soon after the wildfires. It depicts the historical Lahaina Courthouse as we all remember it, keeping in mind that it will never be the same again.
